So, onward to doing evil!
Some steps to follow:
1. Always, always plan on linking to stuff about Information Retrieval.
2. Create internal linkage.
For example, this website is entitled, "Plan for Doing Evil Enacted", but do you really think this is evil? Or is it merely an experiment to drive up the page rank of certain websites by referencing Information Retrieval and Web Programming a lot? Or perhaps I am merely trying to increase interest in the awesome CS380 Information Retrieval and Search Engines class. Perhaps I just really like the topics of information retrieval and programming on web related topics. Follow the internal linkage to find out. What is good information anyway? And how do we retrieve it? Do you rely on statistical models, or do you instead rely on good ol' trial and error? I really how people survived before the web, having to rely on card catelogues to figure out where their books were and even what book to use. Say I wanted to find a programming book. Before the internet, we would have to go to the library and actually look through their reference programs. Now, we can just retrieve the information off of the web, and request the book online. I can learn how to program in VB without leaving my room.
So now you see what I mean about nonsense. Did the above paragraph really make sense? It should have left you with the feeling that I was trying to use the words stemming from web, information, retrieval, and programming as much as possible.
