Whatever happened to Afghanistan?

A refresher for everyone: Afghanistan was the first, the original war on terror before the whole Iraq mess happened. So, what's happening? Everything is unravelling at America's feet. The drug trade is even bigger since the fighting started. Over half of Afghanistan's economy is the drug trade in opiates.
Does Peace Get Overlooked?

However, most news sources overlooked the world-wide rally because of the still chaotic situation in New Orleans and the other places hit by the hurricane. Though the war is a continual point of concern and arguement between parties, families, neighbors and countries foreign policy, it is something that is always there and not a "new topic for discussion," therefore it gets overlooked, even when thousands come together to voice their opinions.
War brought more issues between two women

After the nation being suffered from the biggest and most malicious man-made attack in United States history, the U.S. government decided to go after the world's largest terrorist group in Middle East. So far, this war cost U.S. about 2000 American citizens and 100 to 2000 billion dollars.
