Celebrities and Paparazzi
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Tue, 2005-12-06 11:44. current eventsThis article is about how Jennifer Aniston is sueing a paparazzo for using a super lenz and taking naked pictures of her while she was changing.
It seems that stories of celebrities sueing are becoming more abundant. Is this an invation of privacy or the price to be paid for being a celebrity? In past months Linsay Lohan got into a car accident due to paparazzi and chasing her for a picture..

tyra banks..............obese?
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Tue, 2005-11-15 12:34. environmentthis article Tyra Banks who is slowly taking over the world, recently just did a segment on her talk show about the hardships of being obese. Tyra went undercover as a 350-pound woman and then went on a series of blind dates. She said that “I started walking down the street and within 10 seconds, a trio of people looked at me, snickered, looked me right in my eye and started pointing and laughing in my face,” the talk-show host said. “And I had no idea it was that blatant.” The talk show host aired the segment while sitting with obese women. Tyra was crying and seemed to be very upset. Yet she was crying into the arms of the obese women upset about what she endured, but all Tyra had to do was strip off the fat suit and then she was a supermodel again. I give Tyra a lot of credit for trying this yet I do not think she should of taken the segment so much to heart and about herself. Because obesity does not affect her, it was affecting the people she was sitting with.

Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Mon, 2005-11-07 15:51.On May 30th 2004 an article was published in The New York Time Magazine entitled “Friends, Friends With Benefits and the Benefits of the Local Mall” the article
written by Benoit Denizet- Lewis. My mother who was more then appalled, originally drew this article to my attention. The article brought light on the new teenage and collegiate phenomenon of “friends with benefits” which basically means a friend of the opposite sex whom you hookup with regularly but have no relationship with. The article explains:

Its bad for A. Coulter when......
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Mon, 2005-10-24 16:40.On a recent Brad Blog posting he talks about how Ann Coulter is now being shunned by many main stream conservatives. A man by the name of Daniel Borchers is in charge of Citizens for Principled Conservatism. This production group is in mid-production on a documentary, "The Truth About Ann," which purports to out Ann Coulter as a "fake conservative." The group is making claims that she is a modern day McCarthy who is posioning the minds of thousands and thousands of people. Again this is not a Michael Moore documentary rather a documntary done by CONSERVATIVES. I mean you know it is bad for her when her own party is denouncing her. For those of you who are not familar with Ann here are some of her most famous qoutes.
Over the hill: Trick-or-Treating
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Mon, 2005-10-24 14:42.A few days ago I was on the phone with my 10 year old sister. We were talking about Halloween and all the excitment that comes along with this awesome holiday. My sister is getting braces put on a few days before Halloween so I was joking with her that she had to give me all her candy. Julia then told me that I should go trick-or-treating. She told me that just becuase I am in college does not mean that I am too cool to go trick or treating.
running
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Wed, 2005-10-19 18:34.Well, I am a athlete and I hate running. I understand that to many this may seem like a paradox but it is the truth. I absolutally hate running. I run all the time to stay in shape for my sport but I despise it. I have tried treadmills, running with music but nothing helps. It is really frustrationg becuase I wish I could really enjoying running more. One of the most frustrating things is that no matter how much running I do or how good of shape I try to get into running is never easy.
home
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Mon, 2005-10-17 15:08.All my excitment for break came to a halt when i found myself sitting at home bored to death. All i could think about was bryn mawr and how much I missed all my friends. I never really relized how great bmc was until i went home. I dont know about many of you but I really think about how lucky I am. Also when i hear about other schools and their rules and structure I can not think about how happy I am that i go to this school.
Friends?
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Fri, 2005-09-30 15:05.When I was a child, my parents described, to me, a friend as someone who I played with in my backyard, someone who plays dress-up and a person with whom I watched TV. As I got older the definition of a friend changed. In middle school a friend was someone who I gossiped with, and then in turn gossiped about me. Middle school friendships were full of lies, boy-craziness and pop culture. I accepted this shallow type of relationship as a friendship standard until I realized that a friend could be so much more.

Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Wed, 2005-09-28 12:58.Its easy to admit that falling back in a dating situation is very easy and happens all the time. You know the person so well that their is no need for the "courting" period. But don't you think their is something to be said about a dating laziness that is envoked when re-dating a ex? This does not push you out side of a comfort zone to really make the leap of faith. In addition is re-dating an ex a good idea? Yes in the begining you realize all the wonderful things about each other again.
TV: Our problem road to perfection?
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Tue, 2005-09-27 12:25.After pondering for a while about what to find a blog on, I decided to write about the media's affect on people's body image. Personally when I am watching TV it is just natural to start feeling insecure with my body. The "teen" tv shows all show case gorgeous people with gorgeous bodies. Dr. Sargent of Baylor College feels that "eating disorders are becoming more popular among our teens.
Mawrters get DESPERATE
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Mon, 2005-09-26 22:20.Well, after spending another non-eventful weekend at Haverford it occurded to me that WOW haver boys are so socially awkard I can not take it anymore. Lets think, the Haverford men have basically the best situation ever. Many many many women at their disposal. Also many of these women who are beautiful, smart and talented who are constintally lowering their standards for a Haver man. Why are they so awkward? Why cant these men pull their acts together and start socializing in a normal manor? Ahhhh so frustrating sometimes I feel that we are back in the always awkward 7th grade dance mode.

ritzy's interest......FASHION
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Mon, 2005-09-12 13:39. bloggingWhile being at BMC one can definitally feel that they are being left out of the world loop. Ov, many people feel this way with news due to how many people aggrigated sites with something to do with the news. I on the other hand while understand how important the news is seems to be upset that their is a sever lack of up to date fashion knowlege on the BMC campus. This is what attracted me to fashion blogs.
The State of the Blog Part 1,2,3
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Mon, 2005-09-05 06:43. academicsBeing someone who does not know that much about blogs, I decided it would be a good idea to post about the chapters entitled, the state of the blog past, present and future. These 3 chapters are interviews with Evan Williams who’s product was blogger. In blogger past it deatailed how this phemonemon of a blog was really a awesome accident. Orriginally he put blogger up just to have people then upgrade to pyra. Yet blogger caught on and per month was witnessing a 20-40% growth per month. Evan was needless to say more then happy. Blogger present talks about what a blog is to Evan. He says that a blog is 3 things;frequncey, brevity and personality.
my 2nd community
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Wed, 2005-08-31 06:36. communityI always knew I was jewish because that is what my parents had told me. I went to temple every so often and got gifts on Hanukah. Yet I never really felt that I had my own jewish identity. I never had felt a personal connection with my relgion or had an experiance that made me think wow this is cool. Then I joined NFTY. This stands for the North American Federation of Temple Youth. It is an organization that networks all reform Jewish youth groups. I went to the first event for the organization. All of the services were on guitar, everyone was so warm and loving and accepting. As the years went on I became more and more involved.
Lax LIfe
Submitted by Ritzy Charly on Wed, 2005-08-31 06:26. communityI had played soccer my entire life. Back where i am from soccer is life. Yet I was never very good. I would try my hardest but never succed. So then my parents decided to have me try to play lacrosse. From the first time i picked up a lacrosse stick i just felt something come together. It was a new type of high. I was totally excelling at a sport and it was great. When i got to high school I was the only frosh to make the Varsity team. It was such an amazing feeling. I then entered one of the best communities that I had ever belonged to. I was part of a family that all loved to play lacrosse. The team would always go out to parties or for food. I was truely a great feeling. I am more then thrilled that the commity sense that lacrosse gives me is now being carried out at BMC. I am so lucky to be playing lacrosse for college. I am so excited.
