HELP FIND A CURE FOR AIDS BY BECOMING PART OF A SUPERCOMPUTER
EVERY ONE SHOULD READ AND DOWNLOAD; THERE IS NO REASON NOT TO.
Based on an article in the Canadian Press.
This is an absolutely amazing program that will put your idle computer to work at finding a cure for AIDS. It is estimated that about 40,000,000 people are currently infected with HIV; many of them children in developing countries. But you can help; download this program and when idle, your computer will automatically run a program that tests thousands of chemical compounds in the human body and how they react to a specific protein of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Biologists are searching for a chemical that will attach itself to the protein coating of HIV and therefore hopefully render it dysfunctional.
"'It's like finding a needle in a haystack,' Olson [a molecular biologist at the non-profit Scripps Research Institute] conceded. 'Most of the trial drugs we're trying to dock don't dock very well at all, so what we're really looking for is the best of the best.'"
Looking through all of the chemical compounds without a supercomputer would take about 100 years! This is where you come in. By connecting to IBM's World Community Grid, you are becoming part of a supercomputer that will hopefully complete the project in about a year! In other words, your computer will be doing work on the AIDS project whenever you are not using it.
"The grid program kicks in when the PC isn't in use - whether it's for five minutes, overnight or for several days - and shuts down when the owner returns to the keyboard."
Right now, there are about 170,000 computers that are connected to the World Community Grid and that number could increase greatly because there are more than 650 million PC's in the world. The more people that participate, the sooner the project can be completed.
Joining the World Community Grid is absolutely FREE so join now and help find a cure for AIDS just by donating your computer's idle time. To download the program, click here:

Dowload this program onto as many computers as possible. Even in libraries if possible or on multiple computers in your house. Post here is you downloaded it or already had it downloaded! Mine is running right now!
