The International Flat Earth Society

A group of concerned citizens have found the answer to the omnipresent question: is the Earth Flat?

Their answer: of coarse it is.

Are we really living on a giant beach ball? If we are why don’t we fall off? These are two questions that are answered creatively by the International Flat Earth Society.

Among all other secret societies and conspiracy theory groups there is one group that stands out to be stuck in the 15th centaury: The International Flat Earth Society.

This well known society firmly believes that the earth is flat, and that all evidence to show otherwise was just a giant fraud. The space landings and trips to outer space and all pieces of astrophotography are all just figments of the government overzealous imagination.

They even have science that proves that the earth is indeed flat. "The facts are simple," says Charles K. Johnson, president of the International Flat Earth Research Society. "The earth is flat."

Gravity would not allow anything to not fall off a curved surface. Why aren’t we constantly slipping off the edge of the earth? The answer: because the earth is flat. There is no mistake about that.

According to the members of the International Flat Earth Society, the end of the earth is only a few hundred miles away.

Is the earth really flat? You make your own decision.

I think you can say the earth is flat. It just depends on what each person think about it. I have seen a lot of maps and many people put the world's map or any other maps in a flat paper.
However, for fact we all know earth is in a sphere shape by looking from the space.

I just think it depends on how person looks at it. :)

a joke?

Is the website a joke? I know there is an actual Flat Earth Society, but check out the Current Events page. It says that the society is planning to replace all the lower grade teacher positions with Flat Earthers to "deprogram" the students, and that Flat Earthers have infiltrated the Wisconsin prison system and are teaching their views to felons.

ignorance

This Flat Earth Society has no more power than a bucket of peas. Their plan to "deprogram" people may very well be true, but theyve had 500 years to do such things, and if they couldnt do it in a time when people didnt bother putting out fires caused by lightning because it was "the wrath of god" they surely cannot in a world where it is fact that the world is a sphere. Their science has not gone through the proper channels, IE criticized by peers and eventually accepted. Its quite the opposite, their anti was criticized and accepted while they were left behind. The fact is, these people are no better than KKK members, I.D. beleivers, cultists, and other prevailing views of ignorance. Let them be, they will kill themselves in time, just ignore them and give them a shiny red ball.

Okay Mr. Ignorance.

You are quick to judge. I don't believe that you got any replies because no one noticed your small but meaningful I.D. reference. For those of you that don’t know, this means "Intelligent Design." Now, being atheist myself I can't quite disagree with what you may call your "argument." However, I can point out your ignorance.

Some day, maybe you will stop to consider where you get your "knowledge." Where do your opinions come from? I'm next to positive that you have not been in a spaceship and glared down upon the spherical earth. Maybe all of the pictures, circumnavigations, orbiting satellites, and gravitational theories are lies perpetrated by the government. How do we know? We don't. That is the glory of life. Not knowing the answer to everything whether we presume that we do or not is the beauty and interest of life.

No matter what you say, you CANNOT prove that the earth is round. I challenge you to try. I will be right here with theories of magic, lies, and brainwashing that will make your head spin. But they will also make a point. Nothing that we know do we actually know. I could go so far as to say that you don’t even exist. Prove to me that you do.

Have fun with this one but I’m betting you won’t attempt it.
