Feral Children; RETURN FROM THE WILD
"Feral children" is the technical term used for kids who were raised either by animals, or not at all. In general, they have had minimal to no human contact in their lives. There is a wide rage of documented feral children; there have been kids found that were raised by dogs, monkeys, goats, wolves, sheep, bears, and even cows.
Children are also even found in cages or secluded in dark rooms. Just recently (2005), 11 children were found to have been forced to live in cages. One 17 year old boy was found still wearing a diaper and kept in a crib. One of the most famous cases was a "wild child" called Genie. She was found in 1970 at the age of 13 and had been confined to her dark room chained to a potty chair since she was born.
In general though, the topic of feral children interests many people (however odd the topic may be.)
Feralchildren.com states something on their front page that I found a bit interesting: "No matter how fascinating, scientifically interesting or even romantic some of these stories seem, it isn't much fun to be a feral child, wolf boy or wild girl. We shouldn't forget that all these children have been abandoned, neglected or even cruelly abused..." Keep this in mind....
